Th’ Woods Buffalo River Cabins were originally an effort designed to be a get-a-way for our large circle of family and friends. We soon realized that people wanted to stay at our cabins because of the remoteness and unique hide-a-way that our cabins offered. Our off-the-beaten-path location gives our guests a first-hand taste of what it is really like living in the Ozarks. The quite serene setting, the wind shuffling through the woods, the deer, raccoons and other forest animals that can be seen at any given time from your window or the large porch. These all add up for a soothing and pleasant stay for any one wanting to truly experience the Ozark Mountains. Plan For An Ozarks Adventure . . .If you're looking for adventure while you're here, it doesn't get any better than the Buffalo River -- America's first national river as desiginated by U.S. Congress. You can choose to spend the day hiking the trails of the upper Buffalo -- know to serious hikers as some of the most remote and rugged wilderness in the Ozarks region. Or, if you want to plan a float trip, there are a number of area outfitters that help set you up to float along the waters of the middle and lower Buffalo. You'll enjoy and be thrilled with the occasional rapid and you'll see some of the most beautiful views you can imagine. After you 'shoot' along the high majestic limestone bluffs along the Buafflo, you'll continue your float down the river where you may get a quick glance of area wild life sunning on the logs and rocks along the way. Though at certain times during the spring the Buffalo River offers a challange, generally it is very family-friendly. You and the kids and maybe even your dog can enjoy an afternoon canoe float on the river. Get a license and bring your fishing gear or bring your lunch and stop off on a riverbar and kick-back and relax or maybe jump in the water for a brisk swim. Planning A Special Event?
